Q: Is ACT membership automatically included in ActSmart subscription?

A: No, only ActSmart Gold and Platinum subscription incorporate ACT membership.  Silver subscription does not incorporate ACT membership. 

Q: What's the difference between ACT Full Retail Membership and Associate Membership?

A:

ACT Full Retail Membership is incorporated in Gold or Platinum subscription and is available to any retail business paying commercial rates whose primary income is via the sale, servicing or hire of cycles and / or cycling products.  Or any business operating from a mobile facility providing cycle workshop services to consumers.  Businesses must meet insurance criteria to be approved.

Businesses or individuals subscribing to Gold or Platinum subscription who do not meet the above criteria are eligible for ACT Associate Membership, which does not provide voting rights or inclusion in consumer promotions.

Q: I only sell bicycles online can I still subscribe to ActSmart?

A:

You are welcome to subscribe to any of the ActSmart subscription packages, but you may not gain full ACT Retail Membership unless you can fulfill the criteria outlined above.

Please check with ActSmart to confirm which products and services are not available to web-only businesses. 

Q: Do I still receive the signs of ACT membership when I subscribe to ActSmart?

A: Yes of course.  If you are a retailer subscribing to either Gold or Platinum subscription and meet ACT's membership criteria you will receive an ACT membership certificate, window sticker and members web-logo.  The ACT member logo will also be linked to your shop in all promotional web listings.
