Helping get more bums on saddles
In partnership with the Association of Cycle Traders we are involved in a number of initiatives to support the promotion and development of cycling, whilst also endeavouring to ensure that retailers can benefit wherever possible.
Bike Hub
The cycle industry scheme to support the future of cycling by investing funds raised by a levy on the sales of cycle retailers and suppliers. Members of the ACT Board of Directors are active members of the Committee which overseas the Bike Hub fund and invests in key cycling projects.
- Bike It! - a unique project to get more kids cycling to school
- Bike For All - a web portal for "everything cycling"
- Bike Week - the national celebration of cycling
UK Cycling Alliance
A Parliamentary lobby group bringing together a number of cycling organisations and Government departments - including CTC, Cycling England, London Cycling Campaign and Sustrans - to enable greater co-ordination in terms of lobbying and directly impacting cycle policy making.
The Cycling Experts
A promotional campaign by the Association of Cycle Traders to link cycling with specialist local cycle retailers. By positioning cycle shops as the "Cycling Experts" the objective of the campaign is to highlight how all aspects of cycling can be enjoyed and improved with the support of your local expert. www.thecyclingexperts.co.uk
