ACT Membership Criteria
Membership of the Association of Cycle Traders (ACT) is exclusively available to businesses subscribing to either GOLD or PLATINUM subscription within the Cycles Channel who meet the following criteria. Businesses who do not meet Full Retail Member criteria will be eligible for Associate Membership, please see details below.
Full Retail Membership
Full Retail Membership is available to any retail business paying commercial rates whose primary income is via the sale, servicing, distribution, promotion or hire of cycles and / or cycling products. Or any business operating from a mobile facility providing cycle workshop services to consumers.
Full retail members must have adequate valid insurance in place covering public, product and employer liability. Businesses operating mobile services must provide proof such insurance is in place. If current insurance is not in place you will be given 4 weeks to obtain this or your application will be cancelled.
Associate Membership
If you are a business or individual that does not meet the above criteria you will be eligible for ACT Associate Membership by taking either a GOLD or PLATINUM subscription in the Cycles Channel. Associate Membership does not allow for inclusion in retailer promotions aimed at consumers, and does not carry voting rights.
In the case of any dispute regarding ACT membership the matter will be referred to the ACT Board of Directors at their next scheduled meeting. Their decision will be final.
